The revised Construction Products Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2024/3110, creates a stronger digital information framework for construction products.
Why construction is different Construction products can remain in buildings for decades. Product information therefore needs durable identifiers and long-lived access, not a short marketing page.
Information foundations Depending on the product family, useful structured data includes product and manufacturer identity, production facility, declared performance, applicable specifications, CE-related information, declarations of performance and conformity, environmental information and supporting documents.
Product-family rules matter Construction products are diverse, so manufacturers should avoid assuming that one generic passport template fits every product.
Organize DoP/DoC references, standards, test documents, environmental declarations where applicable, batch identifiers and supplier information. A DPP platform should preserve historic published versions for long-lived products.
